DAY 1: Istanbul
Arrival at Istanbul International Airport. You will be met and transferred to your hotel.
DAY 2: Istanbul
Following breakfast, we drive to the 'Old City' where we visit the Hippodrome and the Blue Mosque. Our next visit is to the the spectacular Topkapi Palace. Built on one of the seven hills of Istanbul, this huge complex commands views of the Sea of Marmara, the Bosphorus and the Golden Horn. It was the seat of government for the Ottoman Empire for many centuries (1453-1852) and we see the extravagant Treasury, the priceless Chinese porcelain. Optional Turkish Night excursion; a dinner with belly dancing entertainment. (B)
DAY 3: Istanbul–AnkaraThis morning, you may take an optional Bosphorus cruise and tour of St.Sophia. This church - later on renovated as mosque - turned museum takes the breath away with the sheer architectural size of its interior and magnificent dome. Afternoon departure for Ankara around 15:00 hrs and late arrival at Ankara. (B,D)
DAY 4: Ankara–Cappadocia
Morning departure to view Hittite artifacts at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. Visit the Mouseleum of Ataturk,father of modern Turkey. Drive to Cappadocia, touring a 13th century caravan inn en route. The natural wonder of Cappadocia is a result of volcanic deposits being eroded away by wind and water over millions of years. These soft rocks were hollowed out by early Christians and used as secret dwellings as they were being sought first by their Roman and later by their Byzantine persecutors. DAY 5: Cappadocia
Optional hot-air baloon tour; you may experience of floating thru volcanic valleys, fairy chimneys and caves with sunrise of Cappadocia. The original tour keeps on to Goreme’s rock chapels decorated with 6th century frescoes, Pasabagi, Red Valley and Avanos for having a pottery workshop in a cave. Visit to underground city of Sarhatli. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia (B,D)
Day 6: Cappadocia – Pamukkale
Drive to Pamukkale. En route we visit the famous mouseleum of the sufi philosopher Mevlana also known as Rumi. Drive to Pamukkale , dinner and overnight (B,D)
Day 7: Pamukkale–Marmaris
Today is the day to pay an early morning visit unique Cotton Fortress, the white calcium cascades, and also pay a visit to one of the first modern spa centers of the ancient world, Hierapolis. Hierapolis was named after Hiera, wife of the founder of Pergamon. Transfer to Marmaris and overnight (B,D)
Day 8: Marmaris
On boarding the gulet yacht, you will be greeted by our friendly and professional crew. Overnight and dinner on board in the Port of Marmaris. In the evening you can visit the lively town of Marmaris and covered bazaar area just by the Port. (B,D)
Day 9: Marmaris-Ekincik
After breakfast, you will begin cruising to Ekincik. Here, you may rent a fisherman's boat that will take you to explore the Dalyan River - visiting Lycian tombs, hot springs, the mud baths and the ancient port of Caunos. You will also get a chance to see the sights of the Greek temples, Roman Baths, Byzantine church, before enjoying the scenic views overlooking the valleys of Caunos village on the way back to Turtle Beach and our Gulet.Overnight in Ekincik. Day 10: Marmaris-Kizilada
After breakfast at Ekincik, cruise to Disibilmez enjoy swimming in crystal clear waters and water sport activities. Late afternoon will head to Merdivenli Bay Enjoy your free time for trekking, snorkeling, windsurfing and swimming. Dinner and overnight in Kizilada. (B,L,D)
Day 11: Fethiye
After breakfast in Kizilada head for the port of Fethiye.This coastal town has a medieval monastery, the largest Lycian rock tombs in the area and good shopping for kilims, carpets and weavings. In the afternoon, you may visit the town and take a trip to Oludeniz. You may leave the Gulet with best wishes to see you again and a pleasant journey homeward.(B)
